It’s that special time of year again, when students, alumni, families and friends gather together for a festive fall weekend full of all things Union. Come on out for perennial Homecoming favorites, like the tailgate picnic and harvest dinner, and don’t miss the chance to show your Charger pride at soccer, hockey and volleyball games.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone to campus for a fun and memorable weekend,” said Molly Harbour, associate director of Alumni & Parent Engagement. “We have something for everyone to enjoy while we celebrate our Union community.”

Homecoming is Oct. 18 – 20. Highlights include:

FRIDAY (Oct. 18)

  • Luncheon with President David Harris (11:30 a.m., Nott Memorial)
  • Undergraduate Research Poster Session (12:30 p.m., Wold Atrium)
  • Alumni Fiction Writers: Julie Gerstenblatt ’92 & Beck Rourke-Mooney ’05 (5 p.m., Karp Hall 105)
  • President’s Welcome Reception (5 p.m., Library Plaza)

SATURDAY (Oct. 19)

  • International Programs: Study Abroad (9:30 a.m., Breazzano House)
  • Celebration of 50 Years of Women’s Athletics (11 a.m., Viniar Athletic Center)
  • Picnic Celebration ( 11 a.m., Library Plaza)
  • Leadership in Medicine: David Shippee ’85 (1 p.m., Nott Memorial)
  • Dr. Donald J. Thurston Memorial Lecture in Asian Studies (5 p.m., O’Brien Center 117)
  • Harvest Dinner (6 p.m., College Park Hall)

SUNDAY (Oct. 20)

  • Farewell Breakfast ( 9 a.m., Reamer Dining)
  • Professor Stephen Berk Lecture ( 10 a.m., Nott Memorial)

Athletic contests throughout the weekend include women’s soccer, volleyball and field hockey, and football and men’s ice hockey. Tickets are available for purchase on the Athletics site.
